Counting ships on the sea
Collecting numbers in the breeze
Of every lazy wave of water on the shore
In summer sky what man could ask for more

Digging holes in the sand
In search of some forgotten land
Just in case I may discover something there
I could tell the busy world
But I don't think a busy world would care

For I'm just a man, an ordinary man
With a handful of sand, and a dream
Strange as it may seem
I'm an ordinary man
That's all I am
